Rate: Available on request — contact Sangwa Camp
Sangwa Camp, meaning “hidden” or “secret,” offers Bhutan’s highest standard of luxury camping in a private forest sanctuary tucked deep within the Haa Valley. Guests are welcomed by Haap villagers with traditional songs and dance as they walk forested trails toward the camp, before settling into elegantly appointed tents furnished with bamboo and Bhutanese textiles. Days unfold with breakfasts amid ancient forests, candlelit dinners, and activities ranging from archery and cycling to riverside hot stone baths and after-dark wildlife tracking. Built with no permanent infrastructure and powered entirely by renewable energy, Sangwa has become a source of pride for the surrounding valley, employing the majority of its staff from the nearby village and hosting local dance performances. Recognized on TIME’s World’s Greatest Places list in both 2024 and 2025.
Highlights:
– Exclusive, Privately Arranged Stays
– 100% Renewable Energy, Zero Single-Use Plastic
– Deep Cultural Immersion with the Haap Community
